More Randoms

-propaganda or truth ... the influence of social media on public psyche is unreal ... Koni, Treyvon Martin ... all it takes to alter perception or thought is a hash tag or Facebook post ... conclusions drawn without the research ... Just saying ...

-5 stages of grief ... Linear or Cyclical?

-Guilty myself of enjoying movie sequels ... But seems to me Hollywood producers in the past few years have become either lazy or chicken sh!t to try something new ...

-climbing the mountain or creating our own path?

-Never enjoyed high school ... But one thing I miss are the cafeteria panzerottis ...

-can't help feeling guilty about God's place in my life at the moment ...

-Live TV streaming from your tablet ... Another nail in the coffin to productivity and social skills for the upcoming generation ...

Dinner For Four

If you could be at a table with three other people, you've never met, dead or alive, who would they be?

1) Ninoy Aquino - one of the most intelligent Pinoy's to ever walk the planet ... In case you don't know, an exiled politician, rival to dictator Ferdinand Marcos, spoke out against corruption, murdered on the airport Tarmac upon his return to the Philippines ... A conspiracy unanswered to this day ... A man who I think is absolutely brilliant ...

2) Dave Chappelle - no person has ever made me laugh harder ...

3) my grandfather (dad's side) - died before I was born ... Considering the ill feelings I have towards my father's side of the family, I always wondered how history and my life would differ had he lived longer ...

Random Shots

-First day of the Spring "Solictice"? ... anomoly or the new norm?

-Busy is productive, but busy can get boring too ...

-funny how people at work (co-workers) talk about quitting smoking or losing weight on the daily ... but it's the typical, 1 step forward, 3 steps back cyclical verbage ... don't say, just do SMH

-unwilling to submit to father time as of yet ... challenges remain, much to learn, more to prove, respect to earn ...

-Twitter > Facebook ... for me anyway, not feeling as constrained with Tweets ... as for Zuckerberg's genocide on productivity, the exact opposite ...

-come to realize that my biggest enemy (critic, hater, doubter etc.) has always been from within ...

-still need to find a place to watch 'Mania ...

-ever find out something 30 years after the fact?

-my Buffalo Bills ... provided they stay healthy ... Lombardi's gonna touch down in Ralph Wilson ... Freddie Jax and Super Mario = Thurman and Bruce ... LOL, I know, pushing it ...

"You know we just don't recognize the most significant moments of our lives while they're happening. Back then I thought, well, there'll be other days. I didn't realize that that was the only day" - Doc Graham (Burt Lancaster), Field of Dreams

-TV is dead and Reality TV killed it ...

-leave it to this former philosophical student to contemplate the mind-body problem while doing core training ... trying to convince the body that pain and fatigue are merely a state of mind LOL ...

-answers to life's "why" questions remain elusive, however the answer to 95-99% of the world's/society's "why" questions: follow the $$$

Checking In

-parents came back from a 3-week trip to the homeland ... Didn't even feel like they left ... Which pretty much indicates how crazy busy my life's been lately ...

-My grandmother's 1-year death anniversary came and went ... I just pulled out the eulogy the other day and gave it a read, still chokes me up to this day ...

-I really want to get to a movie theater ... It's been way to long ... BabyGirl is looking to watch The Vow, while I'm kinda feeling Safe House ... Gotta find a way to bridge the gap ...

-vanity ain't everything ... But Project 2012 is to get the body image I've wanted ... 2009 was about dropping from 230 to 168 lbs, success ... 2010 was about the 6-pack challenge, which I lost ... 2012 is about feeling confident beach and poolside ... Years past I've put too much emphasis on arms, shoulders and overall cardio ... I've been reading up on strengthening core this time around ...

-road to Wrestlemania ... I never thought I'd live to see the day I saw The Rock get owned on the mic ... And by John Cena of all people ... Despite this I'm still pumped for the event ... The Rock vs. Cena, Jericho vs. CM Punk for the title and Undertaker's streak to go to 20-0 ...

-in a few more weeks, when I have the time ... Street Fighter x Tekken anyone?

-on the gaming topic ... I got a peek at the PlayStation Vita the other day ... Visually pleasing ... Console quality on portable piques the interest ... But at the $249.99 price tag aww hellll naw!!! ...

-before I go ... Life isn't a sequence, it's a summation ... A lot of people I know get caught up in going 1-2-3-4 ... But as long as all four "numbers" are reached, it doesn't matter what order they come in 1,2,3,4 ... 4,3,2,1 ... 2,4,1,3 ... They all still add up to 10 (perhaps a Perfect 10) ... On top of that, there are different combinations which can add up to 10 ... Place more emphasis on the Summation and less on the Sequence ...
